Iraq is one of the developing and influential countries in West Asia. Due to the geopolitical situation of this country in transition, a special media and communication space has been created in it. This article aims to analyze the "communication ecosystem" of Iraq and seeks to explain the three aspects of the communication ecosystem, namely the development of communication technology in Iraq, the fit of Iraqi communication norms with an efficient government and mass messages in this country. Also, it is based on the theory of communication ecosystem with descriptive-analytical method. According to the findings of this article, the Iraqi media sphere, despite its appropriate geopolitical capabilities, has not been able to provide acceptable functions. Based on statistics, communication technology in this country has not developed significantly, communication and media norms are not commensurate with effective governance, and the massive Islamic messages, despite the country's special religious capacities, are considered minor due to religious and ethnic divisions. In general, it can be said that Iraq is at the beginning of the path to the realization of its desired communication ecosystem.
