With the Withdrawal of the United States from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), each of the Press TV and CNN websites for news coverage of the event were in the confrontational field of views, frameworks, media priorities, sovereignty and cultural context of its own country and presented a large volume of data to the audience in accordance with online journalism capacities and in line with their media policy. The purpose of this study is to compare the news coverage of the “US Withdrawal from JCPOA” on Press TV and CNN websites. In this study, a quantitative content analysis method has been used. The statistical population includes all the news published since the announcement of the US Withdrawal from JCPOA within 20 days from that time. The results showed that both websites reflected on the issue of America's withdrawal from JCPOA with more political view. The orientation of the Press TV ‘s website was largely negative but CNN’s was more neutral. Both websites have highlighted their country’s official voice in their high priority, showing that they have performed political service. “The European adherence to JCPOA” has been the most prominent issue on Press TV website by 28.7 %, and” Donald Trump’s false action on the American withdrawal from JCPOA” on CNN’s website by 30.8 %. CNN’s Website has taken advantage of the multimedia convergence capacity to deliver maximum information to the audience in the confined space of the website.
